Making it out of the house at six am with a traveling team of ten and a support team of four was a full success. On the minute we closed the door behind us. But the real exam was checking in our twenty pieces of luggage, all of which weigh fifty pounds, full of things for our mission to do orphan care in Uganda. The heaviest bags are full of bibles. We then inched along through security and I was amazed when it was time to disrobe and unload we were traveling with a team of pros. They got full thumbs up and an A+ for their efficiency and attitudes. Now? Party time. The Uno cards are out, the baby is spying airplanes and daddy is sipping coffee. Let the fun begin. What I know for sure is we work from a place of faith, labor in love, and experience endurance with the hope of Jesus in us all. From here out there are no more preparations. What is done is done. And now whatever comes our way we will ebb and flow with the grace that accompanies us.
I just wanted to check in and let you all know that we are safe, secure, and ready to travel four planes in twenty-four hours to be greeted at Entebbe by our loved ones. Thank you all for your prayers as we hope for travel mercies.
