One of our teams who will take the journey to Uganda with Kirabo Seeds this summer will be teaching Ephesians. They’ve had several meetings, and they are getting creative in how to present some of the themes from this book in the bible. I remember the day I asked God, “what in the world are we going to do with all the willing hearts committed to come serve? I often have more help then I know what do do with it! That’s an overwhelming place to stand because I don’t want to be responsible for wasting the effort and energies committed to serve. The point in that is precisely that I’m not the one to assign jobs, that’s in God’s department. So I waited to hear. It was quiet and clear: Ephesians, a book about the believer’s riches in Christ. With so much prosperity gospel being lit and fanned into a raging flame throughout the continent of Africa, won’t it be refreshing to consider the spiritual riches of the relationship in Christ? As I prepare my own heart for sharing from Ephesians this verse looked like a sunrise after a storm to me this morning: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Eph 4:3
I’ll explore some reasons behind the significance of this verse in my private blog: www.mzungumama.wordpress.com
