Friends, if you have been following my adventures in Uganda these past few months, you will recognize Abdul’s name. He has been critically important in helping me make sense of all the cultural twists that elude me. He is a good Christian man with excellent leadership qualities. He hopes to be a bible teacher some day. He is in the hospital now with a blood clot in his leg. He’s been moved from hospital to hospital, doctor to doctor, and finally they decided to do an operation in the morning. We pray for the hand of God to be on him and protect him, heal him, and give wisdom to the medical staff. Please pray for him and his family. His wife is Saida, and he has three sons. We are all feeling the heavy weight of his condition on our hearts.
His three boys are on the left in this photo. The boy on the end is a relative whose father died, and his mom is in the hospital very sick. We are putting him on the sponor program with Kirabo Seeds. He has already begun school, and I’ll be looking for a sponsor for him!
