Hi everyone, I am sitting in the lobby of Paraa lodge with twenty minutes and counting before the internet is shut off for the evening. I knew if I didn’t check in here there would be a all out alert sent out looking for my body that must have been dumped in the Nile River, or worse. We left the house this morning at 5:30, drove all day to reach the lodge in time for an evening game drive, and in the morning we will enjoy our Nile River cruise where we hope to see many wild animals.
Kira is at the guesthouse with Phiona and Julie. It is best she did not have to endure the hours and hours of driving today. We spent nearly all day in the car, and it would have been miserable for her. I know she is having good fun with her Ugandan aunties.
This was the first time I’ve ever done an evening game drive, and I think I will definitely plan to do it again in the future. I’m witout equipment to share my photos here, and we’ve had plenty of interesting adventures in this day that I’ll save to tell about tomorrow as well. You won’t believe the photos I got today! In the four safaris I have taken, today I may have gotten some award winning photos. At least in my personal contest, they win awards anyway. I don’t want to spoil the surprise. We’ll be home in Kampala late tomorrow night and I’ll post first thing the next morning. I didn’t want anyone to worry about us. We are having a fantastic rest and relaxion adventure in Murchison National Park. I’ll check in before the morning cruise!
Sounds so lovely.
Enjoy the rest and safari!! 🙂
What a tease!
Can’t wait to see the pics!
