Health and Happiness

I  believe in taking good enough care of my health so then if I get a disease some day I can say it wasn’t my fault, and I can live my life with no regrets. I’ve known too many family members who have died from self inflicted causes (smoking), I don’t want to prolong that legacy. Though I place a lot of emphasis on my particular health choices I would not expect others, including my family, to make the same choices because to them it is extreme. For example, I cook all sorts of meat for them, but I don’t eat any of it. But, there are middle ground, baselines of good health  that I adhere to and proclaim as a way of life for all because I don’t think anyone wants to have regrets. Some of these are:  Take in some sunshine and fresh air every day, avoid heavy meals, keep alcohol at a minimum, exercise, sleep more, take long journeys, avoid frightening ideas, laugh alot and often, and finally, listen to music.  Let me share some fun quotes with you about health.

“Life expectancy would grow by leaps and bounds if green vegetables smelled as good as bacon.” ~Doug Larson

A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures in a doctor’s book. ~Irish Proverb

To avoid sickness, eat less, to prolong life worry less. ~CheHuWeng

My inner advisor is dying to heal me. ~Astrid Alauda

Half the modern drugs could well be thrown out the window except the birds might eat them.~Anon

Health is merely the slowest way someone can die. ~Anon
