Praises for Craig

DSC_4223

Not only did he send me off to be with Erica in the critical grieving time of having just lost her mother during the busiest season of the year for our family, but he also:

  • got the kids off to school twice
  • managed the evening schedules
  • did all the laundry
  • made the bed
  • welcomed me with a nicely neat house
  • made sure Lucy got her exercise and love
  • got everyone to church
  • made sure the chores got done
  • and enjoyed every minute of it

What more can I say? I feel so completely blessed to be married to him. I have returned energized and enthusiastic for all the projects in our life, because he was willing to let me go. The best part is that our boys are observing how to be a loving husband by watching his acts of service and love towards me in ways that speak much louder than saying “I love you.”

This is evidenced by my morning surprise. I returned with a cold, rendering me less than my usual up and at it self. I over slept. When I came into the kitchen I found Donny had made all the lunches, nudged his two brothers out of bed, and was frying eggs for their breakfast! His first words to me, were, “are you feeling better mom”?

You might guess I have a set of watery eyes right now as the emotion from my heart is about to overflow. It’s good to be home.
